Homestead Day 2025

Hosted by The Heirloom Farmer

 May 17, 2025

10am-6pm

7447 S. Eagle Valley Road, Port Matilda, PA 16870

Event summary: Homestead Day is an amazing event bringing local communities together to learn homesteading skills, make connections, cultivate resiliency and support small businesses. This is the third year for this event. In 2024 over 700 people attended.

This event includes a curated, open air market.

We are only accepting 35 vendors and 4 food trucks.

Applications will be accepted until April 23, 2025.

This opportunity is for businesses and organizations that support the homesteading community, provide homestead, garden, farm, outdoor, health or kitchen related products, handmade crafts, homemade or homegrown foods, educational organizations and more.

We will review and accept applications as they come in, so apply early.

Once the spaces are filled we will add vendors to a waiting list.

Engagement. We highly encourage vendor and attendee engagement. Part of the engagement includes a “Build Your Own Homestead” activity. Attendees are given a piece of paper and vendors are given a sheet of stickers. Attendees will need to visit vendors to collect a set number of stickers. Vendors are asked to give one sticker to each attendee who visits their space. Once the attendee collects the stickers, they may turn in their paper to be entered into a drawing. Three winners will be drawn at the end of the event. Vendors are encouraged to donate an item (and include their business card) for the prize baskets.

 Vendor spaces:

  • $35

  • 10x10 outdoor space*

  • Promotion on our website, social media, and email newsletter

*Additional space can be added. Please indicate in your application how much space you need. Each additional 10x10 space will add $10.

 Please note:

  • Due to our insurance regulations, a Certificate of Insurance (COI) is required from all vendors. The COI must have a minimum $1,000,000 liability coverage and name “The Heirloom Farmer” as additionally insured. The COI must be emailed to The Heirloom Farmer (abbie@theheirloomfarmer.com) by 5pm on April 23, 2025. Vendor fees will be forfeited for failure to meet requirements.

  • This is an outdoor event. It will be held rain or shine and only be cancelled in the occurrence of a major weather event.

  • Spaces are in the grass and the area could be muddy if we have heavy rain prior to the event.

  • You must bring your own table, chair, tent, etc.

  • Tents must be secured to the ground.

  • There is no electric or public wi-fi available.

  • Setup is 8am-9:45am the morning of the event unless other individual arrangements are made.

  • Vendor fees are due by April 23, 2025. An invoice will be sent to the email address you provide. Payment is non-refundable.

  • You will not be added to any promotional materials until you have paid in full, so you are encouraged to pay as soon as you receive the invoice.

  • We reserve the right to deny any application that is not in line with our purpose.

  • We do not accept MLM vendors.

  • We reserve the right to accept any application. While we aim for a diverse and balanced group of vendors, we cannot guarantee exclusivity.

  • Any special requests, such as a special setup time, additional space, parking behind your space, etc. must be provided to Abbie prior to May 1, 2025, and we will do our best to accommodate. Requests made after that date may not be accommodated.

  • You are not approved as a vendor until you receive confirmation from us via email.

Best practices are encouraged, including:

  • Promoting the event in your own marketing channels prior to the event.

  • Keeping your space clean throughout the event.

  • If you only accept cash, please display a sign making this clear to attendees as they enter your space.

  • Be fully setup by 9:45am.

  • Do not tear down until 6pm. Even if you run out of supplies, we ask that you stay and continue to engage with attendees.

  • Please ensure you, or an assistant, are present at your space for the duration of the event. We highly recommend bringing at least two people so your space is staffed at all times.
